The Mako is fitted with the latest silent Bafang M420. With its reduced design, the M420 drive system perfectly fits modern & stylish city and trekking eBikes and will help you tackle all adventures. The latest iteration of the M400 range with a rated power of 250W smoothly supports until the legal speed limit of 25kph. Powerful 80Nm of torque and sensitive controls result in a user-friendly support characteristic, especially when starting and riding uphill.
Free yourself from oily, rusty chains, and with the Gates Carbon Drive accompanied on the Mako SHARK. Clean. Smooth. Strong. These are the advantages of the Gates Carbon Drive System. The carbon reinforced belts last longer than chains, never need grease and are nearly maintenance-free.
The Mako comes equipped with everything you would expect from a high quality European e-bike. Designed in the UK and built in Europe, the Mako comes equipped with a pannier rack, front and rear built-in lights, powerful Shimano disk brakes, Bafang display and an impressive Gates Belt Drive System.
Our LG battery will have you taking on any challenge. With a charge time of 4 hours and minimum range of 50 miles, there's so many places to explore on your new e-bike. The Mako design also allows you to charge the battery within the aluminium frame or remove for easier charging.
The Mako Shark eBike's step-through design allows to step onto the bike with less effort, especially important for those with limited mobility. The seat stem height is adjustable to better fit different heights, and the handlebar position is adjustable for a better riding experience.

Can I use a Cycle to Work Scheme?
Tax is complicated; the cycle to work scheme is not. You choose a bike, hire it for an agreed length of time, then wind its value down to a negligible amount. It's like a year-round sale, with interest free credit available.Your employer will review your application and pay for your Cyclescheme package. You will then recieve a eCertificate. You can exchange your eCertificate for your gear in-store or online.
Can I ride this bike legally in the UK?
You can ride an electric bike if you’re 14 or over. Our electric bikes are known as ‘electrically assisted pedal cycles’ (EAPCs). You do not need a licence to ride one and it does not need to be registered, taxed or insured.
Where can I ride this bike?
All Shark Bikes Electric Bikes must meet the EAPC requirements and are classed as a normal pedal bike. This means you can ride it on cycle paths and anywhere else pedal bikes are allowed.

We aim to deliver your orders within 3-5 working days from the date of purchase. Free to collect. Delivery to mainland UK and Europe Mon-Fri delivery. Your bike will require minimum effort to put together on arrival when delivered by a courier. For collections, your bike can be pre-assembled free of charge Detailed and easy to follow instructions are provided. Assembly requires no technical knowledge.
