Warranty

All brand new Bikes, including their electrical parts are covered under a 2 year* General Warranty. Proof of purchase acts as the warranty.

*Bikes bought through our 'Marketplace' which may have minor damages, quality control issues or other reasons, including their electrical parts are covered under 1 year General Warranty. Proof of purchase acts as the warranty.

Should any original component prove defective in terms of workmanship within its warranty period, we will replace it. The warranty periods for electric bike components are as follows:

- Frames and Forks: 2 years (1 year for Marketplace Bikes)
- Electrical Components: 2 years (1 year for Marketplace Bikes) or 150 charge cycles - whichever comes first (subject to proper care and maintenance) 

This warranty does not include transportation charges. The company cannot accept any responsibility for consequential or special damage. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser, who must have a proof of purchase in order to validate any claim. This warranty applies only in the case of defective components and does not cover the effects of normal wear, nor damage caused by accident, abuse, excessive loads, neglect, improper assembly, improper maintenance or the addition of any item inconsistent with the original intended use of the bicycle.

No bicycle is indestructible and no claims can be accepted for damage caused by improper use, competition use, stunt riding, ramp jumping and leaping, or similar activities. Claims must be submitted through your retailer. Your statutory rights are not affected.

The company reserves the right to change or amend any specification without notice.

Requirements for warranty:

a. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase as this is your warranty and warranty will start from the date of purchase.

b. Warranty is non-transferable and only applies to original owner.

c. Warranty covers – main bike frame, front forks, mud guards (if provided with the bike), wheel rims, gears, bearings, motor casing and motor, LED controller display, brakes (excluding brake pads), battery and charger.

Exclusions from warranty:

  • When subject to neglect or misuse or resulting in damage due to an accident.

  • Poor maintenance or modifications that no longer complies with regulations or original technical specifications.

  • Damage due to external causes such as left out in heavy rain, or long term weathering causing rust and decay etc.

  • The bike is put up for hire.

  • The battery is used incorrectly or tampered with (warranty seal is broken). This also applies to charging. (always use the charger provided by the manufacturer).

  • Battery is not cared for in conjunction with the battery care instructions provided. Battery Care Instructions.

Items not covered:

Brake pads, tyres, inner tubes, lights, chain, cassettes, handlebar grips and cables or anything else that can be seen as consumables.
